Dr. Felipe Ruiz
A native of Los Angeles, Dr. Felipe Ruiz, is a surgically trained Foot & Ankle Surgeon focusing on diabetic limb salvage procedures and advanced wound healing/tissue repair. Dr. Ruiz, earned his undergraduate biology degree from California State University, Los Angeles CA., and received his medical degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine, Samuel Merritt University, Oakland CA. Following his medical school training, he completed a PM&S 36 at Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana CA, with an emphasis in foot and ankle surgery.
Post residency, he practiced in Los Angeles, California area and Las Cruces, New Mexico where he gained interest in diabetic foot, care, advanced wound care, limb preservation and lower extremity reconstruction.
Dr. Ruiz relocated his growing family to the Central Valley and brought his extensive wound knowledge and expertise to his new locations in Clovis and Fresno.
He is currently on-staff at Saint Agnes Medical Center, Clovis Community Medical Center, Community Regional Medical Center, and Madera Community Hospital.
He is affiliated with the American Podiatric Medical Association, California Podiatric Medical Association, and American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine.
Dr. Ruiz believes all of his patients deserve the highest level of care and expect commitment and compassion from their physician. Dr. Ruiz is fluent in Spanish and gives each patient individualized personal attention. He believes the physician and patient work together as a team to determine which treatment is best to ensure the highest level of care.
Dr. Cherrelle Nguyen
Cherrelle Nguyen, DPM, is a Podiatric physician and surgeon at West Coast Podiatry Group. She was born and raised in Southern California, where she enjoyed playing music and participated in various sports. She relocated to the Central Valley in 2017. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to her patients. Dr. Nguyen has a passion for treating all aspects of foot and ankle pathology. Some of her areas of expertise include treating pediatric patients, sports medicine, foot and ankle fractures, wound care, as well as foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Nguyen completed her undergraduate studies in the Bay Area, and graduated from Dominican University of California with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Molecular Cell Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
Dr. Nguyen earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio. After medical school, Dr. Nguyen completed her intern year at the University of Pennsylvania/ Department of Veteran Affairs in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then completed her surgical residency with the added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Nguyen is board certified, and is a diplomate with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She currently holds medical and surgical privileges with Adventist Health Central Valley Network. Her current affiliations include: American Podiatric Medical Association, California Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Podiatric Medicine, American College of Foot and Ankle Pediatrics, and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons.

Dr. Jason Kaplan, DPM
Dr. Jason Kaplan, DPM, is an experienced podiatrist with the team at West Coast Podiatry group, which has locations serving the Madera, Fresno, and Clovis communities in California. Dr. Kaplan is a Board Qualified podiatric physician and surgeon with the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). Dr. Kaplan is offering comprehensive foot and ankle care encompassing non-surgical and surgical interventions. He has special interests in traumatic injuries, deformity correction, and limb salvage.
Dr. Kaplan attended Portland State University in Portland, Oregon for his undergraduate studies. He then moved to New York City, where he earned his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
After graduation, Dr. Kaplan completed his three-year surgical residency at Tucson Medical Center in Arizona, where he was appointed Chief Resident. There, he received comprehensive surgical training in both foot and ankle pathologies spanning from traumatic injuries, reconstructive forefoot and rearfoot procedures as well as limb salvage.
Dr. Kaplan believes in a treatment approach that is logical, understandable, personalized to the patient’s personal and professional needs, and rooted in Evidence-Based Medical practices. He takes an active role in ensuring his patients receive the most current treatments supported by scientific literature. He enjoys staying up to date with new techniques in training courses, attending medical professional conferences, and reviewing the latest peer reviewed literature.
In his spare time, Dr. Kaplan can be found outdoors hiking, camping, or continuing his athletic training at the local gym. He is proud to call California home and looks forward to treating those with foot and ankle needs in Fresno and surrounding areas.
Dr. Alfred Patino
Dr. Alfred Patino, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, and wound care specialist has over 26 years specializing in general podiatry in Turlock and surrounding community. He treats all aspects of podiatric care from adolescent through geriatric population. Dr. Patino diagnoses and treats injuries, and illnesses relating to the feet, ankle, and lower legs. His podiatry specialization gives him extensive experience in the treatment of all common foot and ankle disorders, including, diabetic emphasis on diabetic wound care management and limb salvage. He brings his broad podiatric knowledge and extensive surgical experience to West Coast Podiatry Inc.
Dr. Panah Nabili, DPM
Dr. Nabili was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago where he attended Benedictine University where he received a B.S. in Health Science and a Minor in Music Performance. Dr. Nabili then went on to obtain a M.S. in Biomedical Sciences at Rosalind Franklin University. Dr. Nabili received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University. Dr. Nabili then went on to attend residency at two Level I Trauma Centers; Cook County Hospital of Chicago and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. He was Chief Resident in his 3rd year of residency and completed his surgical residency with added credentialing in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.
He relocated to Clovis with his wife and daughter and enjoys travelling, playing piano, and spending quality time with his family.

Dr. Melara is originally from El Salvador. He earned his doctorate from Midwestern University College of Podiatric Medicine in Glendale, Arizona after completing his bachelors of science degree at UC Davis in Davis, CA. He then completed an intensive 3-year surgical residency at Tucson Medical Center.
Dr. Melara is fluent and practices medicine in both English and Spanish. When he is not in clinic, Dr. Melara enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending quality time with family. He has travelled to Guatemala and Ghana to provide medical care and hopes to continue serving patients abroad in the future.
